ONE BOOK, ONE PAGE

ONE LIFE AT A TIME

We are committed to providing quality literacy tutoring to locals so that they and their family can become more contributing members of the community through improved literacy skills. Our vision is to end generational illiteracy throughout our county.

A kid reading a book

KIDS PROGRAMS

Did you know that only about one third of American fourth-graders are proficient in reading? By fourth grade, if children can't read at grade level, they're unlikely to ever catch up.

Youth reading

YOUTH PROGRAMS

It is estimated that 1 in 5 adults in Indian River County struggle with completing a job application, reading a newspaper, reading to their children or helping them with schoolwork. We focus our mission on adult literacy because the most important indicator of a child’s academic success is the literacy skills of the child’s caregiver.

Seniors reading

SENIOR PROGRAMS

It’s easy to take for granted the pleasures in life that are afforded us when we know how to read. For adults that struggle with literacy and basic communication skills, life’s satisfactions are radically limited.
