About this drill

I had 30 minutes to create a comp for a one page food ordering system with an interface to customize hamburgers.

The design should start with a simple bacon double cheese burger with some following customization areas, such as options of buns, cheese, toppings, sauces, and sides. I also should have included an upsell areas, but I didn't have time to get there.

The first thing I did was creating a hero image, and then I write the headings related to each customization areas. My biggest challenge when doing all drills (not only this one), is not being abble to know ahead what the drill is about until it starts. I feel that I don't have time enough to organize my thoughts, sketch a layout, and make good decisions regarding the overall design. I tried to design some kind of wireframe to add content later, but I din't have time to research images, or options os buns, cheese, etc.

I believe that starting with the wireframe worked well for me because it gave me a direction to what look for next if I had time. My first impulse was look for images, text, and fonts, everything that I needed to create the comp. But then I realized that I wouldn't have time to actually do it I continued to just getting content - I had to build the foundation first. So, next time I will focus on that first instead of going crazy and trying to get everything at the same time LOL
