our work + what we do

The Digital Comic Museum is passionate about the preservation and historical significance of Golden Age comics, seeking to preserve their legacy and livlihood.

Our archive of over 20,000 digitized comics chronicles those heady years when the fantastic adventures of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash ruled the page. In the thick of war and Depression, readers were hungry for spectacular escapist entertainment where the public was protected and good alwaysprevailed. the sale of comics increased markedly as they were an affordable media choice for the time and contained inspirational, patriotic stories of good triumphing over evil; tales very much reflecting the events and values of the period.
