Have You Seen the Tinker Bell Movies?

Tinker Bell is a CGI-animated fantasy film series based on the character Tinker Bell, produced by DisneyToon Studios as part of the Disney Fairies franchise after producing a number of direct-to-video follow-ups and Winnie the Pooh films. Voices of Mae Whitman, Lucy Liu, Raven-Symoné, America Ferrera, Kristin Chenoweth and Pamela Adlon are featured in the films.

Six feature films and one TV special were produced:

The first film of the franchise, Tinker Bell, is a 2008 American fantasy animated film and the first installment in the Disney Fairies franchise produced by DisneyToon Studios. It is about Tinker Bell, a fairy character created by J. M. Barrie in his 1904 play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, and featured in the 1953 Disney animated film, Peter Pan and its 2002 sequel Return to Neverland. Unlike Disney's two Peter Pan films featuring the character, which were produced primarily using traditional animation, Tinker Bell was produced using digital 3D modeling. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment on October 28, 2008.

Tinker Bell is the first Disney film to feature Tinker Bell in a speaking role. Actress Brittany Murphy was originally selected for the part before the role went to Mae Whitman. The film follows Tinker Bell’s origin story, before she met Peter Pan, as she works out her place in Pixie Hollow and struggles with what her “talent” is.

Disney Fairies

Disney Fairies is a Disney franchise launched in 2005. The line began with the publication of the book Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg, a novel written by Gail Carson Levine, the author of Ella Enchanted and illustrated by David Christiana. A chapter book series has also been released, followed by a series of computer-generated direct-to-DVD films, the first one titled Tinker Bell. Additionally, there are toys, clothing, and accessories within this licensing of the franchise.

Along with Tinker Bell, Disney Fairies also features a score of original characters created specifically for the line. The Disney Fairies film series has a somewhat different cast of characters than the book series. Both series take place in Pixie Hollow, the secret world of the Neverland fairies.
